Zeenews Bureau New Delhi, July 31: Maintaining his tirade against Congress, Communist Party of India (CPI-M) general secretary Prakash Karat on Thursday reiterated that his party will not be a part of UPA even after next general polls. The firebrand Marxist leader said this in an interview to a private television channel, where he blamed the Congress-led UPA government for failing on serious issues of concerns to the common man. “It is all over with the Congress. We will not go with the Congress-led UPA even after next polls,” Karat reportedly said. The relation between Congress and Left parties has soured after the latter withdrew its support to the UPA government citing their opposition to the Indo-US nuclear deal. Subsequently, the Left parties along with the BJP initiated a no-trust motion, which the UPA government survived with a convincing margin. The General Elections to the 15th Lok Sabha are schedule for May 2009.
This is just a pose to shore up the 3rd front before elections. After elections the Leftists would support UPA in the name of communalism, if that can keep the BJP from coming to power. - K.Venugopal - Mumbai
